Towards the Light

The darkness consuming my soul,

The closed doors mocking my will to live,

Among the suffocation and inhibition,

There is a little light I want to touch.

Nihilistic words clouding up my mind,

Dreams turning into nightmares,

A smile on my face,

And tears in my heart,

There is something about the light,

That I am not able to touch at all.

All I can see is a path,

A path of acceptance,

A path to peace,

A path to love,

A path towards the light.

Maybe,

I do not need to touch the light at all.

We often face an existential crisis during times like these. Some of us face serious forms of mental health problems and refuse to get help. Life will constantly put us down but we need to do everything in our power rise back up. Life is a constant path of making mistakes, getting into trouble and learning from them. There is no absolute. It’s that simple. Let me know your views in the comments section.

  2. I agree with you. Facing mental health issues alone is certainly not the best move. It’s better for us to open up about our mental health problems so that we get the needed help we deserve before it escalates.
    Lovely poem!💚
