A New Beginning

Hello there!

I am so sorry I haven’t been able to write posts here on WordPress for a long long time. I am sorry. Really really. If you enjoy my work, please keep following my blog.

Time for some good news:

1. I got into the University of Delhi (North Campus), one of the most competitive universities in the country and among the top 400 Universities of the world.

2. I am studying BA Hons in English by choice. I have not been forced into anything. I am happy and I hope to make the most out of it.

3. I completed a summer internship and earned my first salary (calling that to make it sound professional;)) of 2000 rupees.

4. I turned 18 so I got my own ATM card. No running around with loose cash for the love of God!

5. I got a great roommate. She is caring and helpful. I don’t know what I’d do without her. I’ve also got hostel mates who’re always there for me.

6. I have visited a lot of places in Delhi that people in India actually due to visit like the Red Fort, Bangla Sahib, Jama Masjid, CP, Cafés on Hudson Lane, Sarojini Nagar Market and so on.

For some bad news:

1. I am a huge fan of non vegetarian food. Like, it is our stapled diet. Sadly, our hostel does not provide it:(

2. Delhi University has a great campus life but despite its perks, Delhi is a very new place for me and sometimes change can be overwhelming. I see and hear things here everyday that are just so so so much different from that in my hometown.

3. I miss home. I guess everyone does, at some point. I often think of family, friends I grew up with, or stories on Instagram of my school campus or Bangalore.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post:)

I promise I will be posting regularly from now on. I was getting used to the city, college, exams, assignments and so on. Please feel free to share your posts that I haven’t read until now.

Have you ever had to adjust to a new place, a new environment? Please share in the comments below.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post:)

Thank you!
